San Diego Opera’s Season To Be Broadcast On XLNC Radio

Listen to live recordings of San Diego Opera’s 2010 International Season on XLNC 104.9FM, beginning on February 14, 2010. Hear your favorite singers and relive the excitement of being in the theatre and experiencing some of the greatest music ever written! Join your host, San Diego Opera’s Geisel Director of Education & Outreach Nicolas Reveles, who will share interesting historical and musical facts along with a synopsis of the operas prior to each act. All broadcasts are on Sunday evenings at 7:00pm.

Join us at XLNC1, 104.9 from January 16, 2010 – May 8, 2010 for San Diego Opera Matters with Nick Reveles on Saturday mornings one hour before the Metropolitan Opera Broadcasts. This hour-long program will clue you in to everything you need to know about opera and San Diego Opera’s 2010 Season. The season’s operas will be discussed, of course, but there will also be opportunities for interviews with the singers, an exploration of opera history, the repertoire, stories about opera and unusual items that you won’t want to miss. Along with Dr. Reveles’ musical knowledge and his sometimes irreverent wit, this radio program will be the perfect entrée into the opera world for everyone from the casual listener to the die-hard fan.
