San Diego Opera debut. American tenor Arthur Shen has been a resident of Germany’s Staatstheater Braunschweig for three seasons, appearing as the Lensky in Eugene Onegin, Don José in Carmen, the Duke in Rigoletto, Rodolfo in La bohème, Alfredo in La traviata, the Singer in Der Rosenkavalier, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Gabriele in Simon Boccanegra and Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut. Other appearances include Radames in Aida and Manrico in Il trovatore with Utah Festival Opera, Alfredo in La traviata with Martinez Opera, Rodolfo in La bohème with National Lyric Opera and Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut, Roberto in Le Villi and Camille in The Merry Widow with Dicapo Opera Theatre.
