Turandot

The world’s most famous aria “Nessun Dorma” sets the stage for the Chinese legend about an icy Princess and the Prince who’s determined to win her love. Passionate tenor Carlo Ventre as Prince Calàf, struggles to solve the riddles of Turandot, sung by the dazzling soprano Lise Lindstrom. Der Rosenkavalier

The lushly scored music of Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier brings to life the story of the Marschallin, a beautiful neglected noblewoman. A torrid affair with a young lover brings her intense pleasure, but reinforces her fear of losing him, as well as her beauty and youth. International opera stars Ferruccio Furlanetto and Anja Harteros make their role debuts amidst the dazzling, 18th century opulence of the Austrian Empire. Learn More »


Faust

Sell your soul to the Devil and there’ll be hell to pay! Faust trades his soul for eternal youth, seduces innocent Marguerite, then leaves her to battle the Devil for salvation. Opera’s golden couple, Stephen Costello and Ailyn Pérez, return as Faust and Marguerite, joined by Greer Grimsley, as a fiendishly suave Devil. Carmen

Burning up the stage will be a sizzling Carmen – the sumptuous voiced mezzo-soprano Nino Surguladze – with charismatic tenor Salvatore Licitra as Don José. Roguish baritone Wayne Tigges is Escamillo and Talise Trevigne is the betrayed village maiden, Micaëla. Carmen’s passionate music is so well-known and beloved that it has become immortalized as the quintessential opera.
