Even if every seat is sold, ticket income will only cover 45% of the cost of producing the 2010 season. It’s donations from opera lovers like you that help cover the remaining 55% of our production costs, so San Diego Opera can continue to produce operas of the highest quality, starring a long list of the world’s finest singers.
You Will Be Honored As An Associate Producer
In 2010, to honor their extraordinary commitment, every Donor will be recognized as an Associate Producer. Choose one of the four 2010 operas, dedicate your donation to that opera and you will be listed as an Associate Producer in a special theatre program insert for that opera – in addition to receiving wonderful benefits for your level of donation.

PATRON DUET PROGRAM
The Patron Duet Program offers opera lovers the opportunity to help San Diego Opera secure major artists and plan world-class productions by pledging their Patron level gift ($1,500+) for two consecutive seasons. The single most important ingredient necessary to guarantee the quality of future opera productions is funding pledged in advance for upcoming seasons and, in thanks for their terrific commitment, San Diego Opera offers Patron Duet members additional benefits including their names highlighted in performance programs.

Medal Program
Bravissimo Medalists play a significant role in supporting the outstanding
artistic success and financial solvency of San Diego Opera. In order to secure
major artists and plan world-class productions for the San Diego Opera stage,
contracts must be signed now for future seasons. To guarantee the quality of
future opera productions, it is necessary to ensure funding years ahead of
upcoming seasons. The Medal Program offers opera lovers the opportunity to do
just that by allowing them to pledge a gift for four consecutive seasons all at
once. These terrific commitments allow San Diego Opera to plan with confidence
and also offer our most committed donors a host of exclusive benefits and
