Auditions on Saturday, April 18, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
San Diego Opera’s two-week pre-professional intensive summer workshop for San
Diego-area singers, ages 16–22, from July 13-24, 2009. A
faculty of theatre and opera professionals will teach classes in aria
interpretation, acting, movement, audition techniques, choosing appropriate
repertoire and other basic skills necessary before embarking on a career track
in singing. Classes will meet daily from 9:30am to 5:00pm. Applications are due
on Monday, April 6, 2009; auditions will be held
Saturday, April 18, 2009. Cost: $850.00. Limited
scholarships are available.
